ONE YEAR GUARANTEE FOR CONGENITAL/GENETIC CONDITIONS RESULTING IN PUPPY’S DEATH
If puppy dies before reaching 1 year of age due to congenital/genetic conditions documented by a licensed vet, AN AUTOPSY MUST BE PERFORMED to determine the exact cause of death at Buyer’s expense. Buyer’s vet shall send the results in writing to the Seller’s vet. Buyer shall send a copy of the autopsy report to the Seller. An original death certificate must be provided to the seller.
If a genetic flaw should arise within the first year of said Shih Tzu’s life, resulting in a significant decline in quality of life of said Shih Tzu or if the defect requires euthanasia, the Buyer must fax or send notice to Gunz n’ Rosez Shih Tzus within 2 days from said diagnosis via certified mail, including copies of licensed veterinarian diagnosis. If it is determined by both the Buyer’s and Seller’s vet that the condition was present in the dog/puppy before it left the Seller, then at the discretion of Gunz n’ Rosez Shih Tzus one of the following choices will be offered:
1. A full refund of said Shih Tzu, minus the deposit.
OR
2. A replacement puppy of equal value and gender will be offered as soon as a suitable pet puppy is available from a future litter out of a different Sire and Dame. Refusal of such a puppy by Buyer ends all obligations Seller has to Buyer.
If any problem is found that is possibly of genetic nature, it is the DUTY of the Buyer to notify Gunz n’ Rosez Shih Tzus so the breeding parents can be evaluated for this condition.
